CG Dog tongue.

This was requested by Melanie of DesMoines, Idaho.
And I quote,
"I'm so excited to use (insert copywritten dog character name)'s tongue."

??????

Yeah. I know. But it's good to see people getting excited about animating. Even if it is a dog tongue. Better than a licker tongue, I can tell you that. Shudder.

Any of you reading this (Jeff) feeling confused and out of sorts, fear not. It's just the
key of animation coke floating in the air here.

It's alive!!! It's alive!!!!!

I clearly remember my first piece of animation in school. It was done in director while in graphic design school. I did this little version of me on the computer in this old spooky castle, rain outside the window, lightning flashing. The assignment was to make a simple interactive menu, and I spend all my time bringing it to life. That was when my soul was taken by it. That tiny little spark. My teacher at the time said to me, "it's very cool, but it might be a little overkill. You know, you should really go into the animation course". And that was it. I became Dr.Frankenstein, and unless you're an animator, you can never truly understand the experience.
Don't get me wrong. This was certainly not my first encounter with the magic of animation. It goes way back to being a little kid, and making those little drawings in my book blink, pick their
nose, or battle each other for page supremacy. Then came the video camera. I would take my toys and create little movies with them all the time. I had this fisher price circus train from when I was a toddler, and I made a short movie where the train broke down and a fire started and all the animals began rampaging, stomping on the conductor and ring leader. It was fantastic. I wish I still had a copy of that.
Well, now here I am. Many moons later and I've been animating professionally for almost 12 years. And it never gets old. I still get that excited feeling in my stomach when I flipbook something and see that little character come to life.
